The Moutere Valley holds the keys to crafting great Chardonnay - clay soils, plenty of sunshine, and a close proximity to the sea for those lovely salty, savoury, mineral influences that many Chardonnay lovers seek out.
However, for us it's about showcasing the fruit and that's where our rare Moutere clay soils prove the difference - delivering an intensity and purity of fruit found nowhere else in New Zealand...and maybe the world.
